Finding the time to blog these days is hard... apparently, super hard!

Party Box Design has been super busy and we are oh so thankful. I actually couldn't think of a better reason to not be blogging.

Life Post... Homesick

OOOOO gosh, am I homesick.

If you have followed this blog for some time, then you know we moved.

Moved, so my husband could stop working 70 hr weeks, be a father and go back to school full time.

We moved to re-group, and thought there would be no better place then the beach.

It's amazing living at the beach. I can open my office window and hear the ocean, I can actually hear it... the waves crashing, it's unreal. We can wear flip flops in December, wore them last night in fact.

Palm Trees are gorgeous, downtown Charleston is amazing. I love Southern Food and the sand between my toes. Charlotte adores her school, and so do we. I love hearing, "thank you ma'am"

However, I am also homesick.

I miss my friends, I miss my HOME, I miss my garden and my family. I miss Baltimore. I miss my beautiful hardwood floors, the kind made in 1940. I miss my exposed brick and THAT FEELING.

You know... the feeling you get when you are home.

Holiday Photo Cards with great color...

I love Holiday Photo Cards... more so since having a child, but really because they are filled with so much personality. Receiving Holiday Photo Cards from friends and family in the mail always makes me smile.

What I love most though... Holiday Photo Cards with colors that aren't traditionally used! Plums, Pinks or even Yellow with Red... just adore!

Can you tell we are getting so excited for The Holidays?!?

Things on my mind Monday...

I haven't done a post like this in soooo friggen long... Monday's thoughts!

1. My bestie is having her 3rd and last little girl today, feeling beyond bummed I am 10 hrs away and unable to be with her. Thinking of you Beck and can't wait to meet baby Reagan!

2. I have grey hair, like 10 strands. 30.9 years old and grey hair... I didn't know it was possible. Was hoping to find a new salon down here, no time so a box dye it will be.

3. If you contact us for a custom item, AND confirm that you would like to purchase it... we send you an invoice and we never hear back, with an invoice left unpaid- that is not nice.

4. Working on free holiday printables... but wondering if people really actually use them. Do you?!?

5. Today it's going to be 80 degrees and come 3:30 you will find me on the beach. I can't believe I can even type that.

6. I am getting so excited for Turkey Day! Making some of my total faves including fried turkey! Yum!

7. I got an iPhone and it's insane. I really wonder how I lived without it. I need to get a fun new cover for it... suggestions appreciated!

8. Lately, I have been feeling really grateful. I know it's the season to be, but I feel it more then ever.

Ice Cream "Sprinkle", Friends, Family and Fun...

This past weekend we had a baby sprinkle for my most dearest friend. She is preggos with her 3rd and last baby girl. Since it's her 3rd baby, we thought a little sprinkle would be most fitting. Baby Reagan arrives next week and I am just so excited.

We had lots of yummy treats... and of course I got like 2 pics! I was so excited to see everyone, the camera remained in it's bag 99% of the time.

Not only was this sprinkle fun for the adults, the kids had a total blast!

Halloween Party Vendor List and Reviews

WOW... our Annual Halloween Party was just beyond fabulous! We had more participating vendors then ever before and I of course need to share each and every one of them!

This party was so large, that we had a table set up especially for vendor info. Where party guests could not only enjoy but know where to find each vendor after the event was over.

OK... this is a super large list, but a great resource for anyone hosting an event!

1. Adele Lee Photography: Adele is beyond amazing and I adore her. She really captured every single detail, with an artistic touch. She was a joy to work with and I hope to be lucky enough to work with her again. I def know who will be taking our Holiday Pics this year! If you live in SC, be sure to check her! Thank you Adele for capturing all the amazing details that made our Halloween Party so special.

2. Bojangles: (fried chicken): Since moving to the South, I have discovered fried chicken and BOJANGLES! OMG Yum! A huge thanks to Bojangles for supplying the most delish fried chicken for our party guests. I love your chicken and so did our guests... it has a little kick of spice that totally rocks. If you live in the South you know how amazing this chicken is, if you happen to be on a road trip you must stop and try some ubbbbber yummy Bojangles. I actually think Brad might need to pick some up today!

3. Bottle Your Brand: I love BYB! We have used them at every single one of our parties, seriously... every single one. Their product is top notch and totally water proof. Their customer service is fabulous and I just can't say enough nice things. I really think the water bottle, beer and wine labels added that extra touch. We always have a bar at our parties, and this aspect really pulls the event together. Providing signature drinks at any event is a very special addition.

4. Milk and Cookeez: It's always nice to have not only party favors for the children, but adults as well! This year we thought it would be so cute to offer miniature caramel apple soaps. SERIOUS amounts of cuteness! The Mom's at this party jumped at the opp to take home this favor. M&C offers so many amazing bath and body products. In fact, I currently have some pumpkin body scrub in my shower that no one else is allowed to use- but ME! P.S. Great place to purchase some amazing stocking stuffers for the Holiday.

5. Coffee, Crafts and Cupcakes: We could not have a Halloween Party without a costume contest. My dear friend Amy, who has so many talents(not enough room to list), supplied a super hero costume contest prize! You must check out her blog, she posts a lot of really fantastic tutorials! One of my most favorite blogs to read.

6. Cakes and Kids Too: OK... this shop offers a ridiculous amount of the most fantastic party items. The Straws, Cupcake Wrappers and Nut Cups you see in this party came from this awesome shop. Great customer service, fast shipping and a wonderful selection of items.

7. Cupkate’s Event Design: I can not think of a better party favor then cupcake push pops! This year we sent the children home with some "wicked cupcakes"! You can find so much at Kate's Shop... a go to party resource for sure. Kate is beyond sweet and one of my total faves.

8. Sweet Temptations: I really am not sure if there is a better name for this company then Sweet Temptations. Chocolate + Oreos + Insane Designs... nope def a sweet temptation for sure. This wonderful company provided our orange polka dot chocolate covered oreos. They were so beautiful you were not sure if you could eat them, but after that first bite you were unsure how you could not eat two!

9. Sweet Kaity: Little Black and White Chevron bags were a must at this event and Sweet Kaity came to the rescue. These little bags were so cute and added a special touch to our dessert tower. This little addition is also a really affordable way to add pops of color and patterns to your event.

10. Delightfully Lovely: Provided the most adorable cake stand I have ever seen. Opening this package felt like Christmas morning. The color blue was exactly what I had hoped for, the stand total perfection and I feel so blessed to have had this delightfully lovely stand at our event. This shop offers the most beautiful stands in so many wonderful shades of color and styles.

11. Pom Flair: Is my go to lady for tissue poms! Carmen is top notch and the best pom pom maker around. She offers an array of poms in amazing colors and sizes. Her poms transformed our outdoor seating area, adding more color and depth then you could imagine. The pops of grey, powder blue and orange hanging from the porch were just perfection. Carmen is a total doll to work with!

12. The Marshmallow Studio: OK... we are talking insane talent here, a party favor that will literally transform your event. When I opened the package from The Marshmallow Studio my mouth literally dropped. Custom made marshmallows to match our invitations, there are really no words other then O.M.G!

13. Sue’s Gift Box & Sweet Shoppe: Sue is one of the sweetest shop owners you could ever meet, she is literally as sweet as her chocolate(maybe sweeter if possible). She was able to use our exact patterns and place them onto oreos... yes, this is possible! She also made some very scary witch fingers and to die for chocolate covered pretzels. I beyond love Sue and her crazy fab chocolate shop. If you are looking for Holiday Gift Boxes, she is your go to lady.

14. Cookies Are My Canvas: I am not sure I can fully express how talented Christina is. Her cookies are divine works of art, that actually taste as good as they look. She is an artist, a true gem. Before I can actually eat one of her cookies I have to admire it for about 48 hrs. I also must say out loud to my husband, "omg Brad... can you believe this is a cookie, like oh my gosh... a real cookie."

15. Lynlee’s Petite Cakes: Lynlee is nothing short of a rock star. I actually should prob get her autograph. She just oozes talent, it just pours out of her. When I think there is no way she could top herself, she does. Her fondant cupcake toppers are like no other. She is such a rockstar that she will soon probably go by one name, like Oprah. When someone says, "Lynlee" you will just know!

16. Deco Poms: Provided our awesome popcorn containers for the event. These containers were so fabulous and the perfect addition to our party. Fantastic customer service, amazingly fast shipment and her packaging is so cute(I think I might need to step it up)! I love having popcorn at a party. It's yummy, inexpensive and the children just love it... add a deco pom container and you just made one crazy fab favor.

17. Gemma’s Linzers: Were oh so yummy and the perfect amount of sweetness for the adults. Gemma offers a variety of yummy flavors, perfect for your upcomming holiday cookie party! Wonderful customer service for sure! Linzers are one of my favorite cookies, so so yummy with a cup of coffee.

PHEW.... the longest vendor list ever!

I wanted to keep the reviews short and sweet, but I really just can't say enough nice things.

Baby Shower Invites, Baby Fever... and Life!

We love baby showers... and lately we have been designing ooodles of baby shower invitations!

"Lately" I have also had an insane amount of baby fever, which for me is major. I am the W.O.R.S.T preggo lady to ever walk this planet, kid you not! Just ask my Hubster.

PLUS my lil Charli P isn't so little anymore... she is all kid, less mommy snuggles and very independent. Where did my baby go?!?

With all these cute shower invites, how can I not think of cute chubby babies?!?

Realistically, we are prob a year or so away from baby number 2, but can I tell you I already have her name picked out... because you know it will be a girl! In fact, she will be born with a tutu on! lol

Anyhoo... BIG NEWS, Party Box Design is almost 2 yrs old. I always get a little teary eyed when I think of PBD. I think of how blessed I am to have the best customers in the whole world, I think how lucky I am to be following my dream and how insane it is that we get orders each day!

Life has surely been busy, but I prefer it that way! Our Halloween Party is right around the corner and I just can't believe how fast time flies! Ahhhh there is SO M.U.C.H to do!

We have also been adding new items to the shop, like this cute baby sprinkle invitation.

Meeting Mrs. Jackie Fo...

Blogging is such an amazing thing... there are a million and one awesome blogs, which means there are a million and one awesome people writing them! You also find people you connect with, follow their blogs more then others and kind of become friends!

A lonnnng time ago I wrote this post: People I want to have cocktails with... OR Coffee... because let's face it, finding sitters can be hard!!! It's a fun post mentioning some great ladies I have really connected with.

WELL.............guess what?!?

I got to meet one of those ladies for cocktails!

{above right} Mrs. Jackie Fo!

I also got to meet her insanely funny hubster, always referred to as Mr. Fo! I love her blog, she is an awesome writer (who should for sure get a "book deal") and oh so sweet!

We had a total blast... so so much fun! I can't wait for the Fo's to visit SC again!

Hurricane, Beach, Halloween Invites and MOOORE...

What a week... the first part getting prepared for our FIRST Hurricane, which thankfully passed us by with no more then a little rain and some amazing waves. We didn't even lose power- crazy!

What is even more shocking is that Hurricane Irene is heading towards what we still call "home"... Baltimore/North/South Jersey! Lot's of prayers to all those facing this powerful storm.

Aside from that Party Box Design has been busy busy busy! Halloween is around the corner, and with that we finished our 2011 Halloween Collection! Some super cute party invites for sure.

We have also had an insane amount of custom design orders lately, yay!!!

I love working on custom invitation designs! Here is our latest, which is ohhh so so so so fuuuuun!

Hi my name is Lauren McKinsey, happy to be blogging here today at Party Box Design.

I feel no matter how big or small, it’s every moment that counts.

It has always been my passion to design products to help my customers celebrate those moments.

With the first day of school quickly approaching and summer coming to an end, I could hardly wait to celebrate my nephew’s first day of Kindergarten. With children of my own who are too old for back to school cuteness, I was excited to design a collection that I knew my nephew would love.

Wanting to capture the excitement of the first day of school, I quickly fell in love with the idea of creating signs that celebrated the joy of entering a new grade. These signs could be held by the excited scholar for the back to school picture we all can’t wait to take on that early morning before school.

And then there are the fantastic school supplies! I always like keeping my very own on hand at home, and since presentation is everything, why not keep them in a cute container or pail. What a great way to keep supplies separated for multiple children since they can have their very own personalized tags.

Remind your little person how proud you are of their accomplishments with a special note just from you.

And, now comes the fun part! The after school treats. From fruits to cookies to ice cream, your little person is hungry after a long day of learning. I loved the idea of labeling canisters with after school treats, snacks and fruit tags. Fill a jar with back to school Hershey kiss stickers for an after homework treat!

Wouldn't it be cute to have a glass of milk and cookies sitting on the table when your little scholar arrives home from school? Wrap "milk" bottles in creative and inspiring tags and insert a fun and colorful straw.

This is such a fun and exciting time! It is a time of new beginnings, new friends being made, new skills being learned and a time to sit back and enjoy life's great adventures. I wish you a wonderful new school year as you celebrate your child!

I love spending time in the kitchen, cooking and baking for others, and I ADORE home-cooked meals with lots of friends and family around the table!

Last week, I had a Cupcakes and Champagne Stella and Dot party!

Today, I want to share one of my favorite cupcakes from the party!

Andes Mint Cupcakes with Mint Buttercream!

Cupcake Recipe adapted from: My Baking Addiction

1 (18.25 ounce) package Devil’s Food Cake mix

1 (5.9 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix

1 cup sour cream

1 cup vegetable oil

4 eggs; lightly beaten

1/2 cup warm water

1 teaspoon of vanilla

24 Andes Mints

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line (2) 12 cup muffin tins with paper liners or spray with nonstick cooking spray. In the bowl of a stand mixer, fitted with the paddle attachment, or with a hand mixer in a large bowl, beat together the cake and pudding mixes, sour cream, oil, beaten eggs, water and vanilla until well combined and smooth. Evenly divide the batter amongst the prepared pans. Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until top is springy to the touch. Cool cupcakes thoroughly on wire rack.

Mint Buttercream Recipe: Your Cup of Cake

8 oz cream cheese

½ cup butter

3-4 cups powdered sugar

1 tablespoon heavy cream or milk

1 teaspoon peppermint extract

green food coloring

Beat cream cheese and butter until light and fluffy. Add powdered sugar, heavy cream and peppermint extract and beat well. Add green food coloring and stir well. Pipe butter cream onto cooled cupcakes and top with an Andes Mint.

When you are serving such amazingly tasty cupcakes at a party, you must always think of the hungry husbands at home. . .

I love nautical, the beach... and our new Tying the Knot Invite! Sophisticated and fun, just had to share!

Today is also a really special day.
My bestie of 11 years is taking a road trip from MD to SC, to visit US!
I am over the moon excited to say the least.
Up at 4:30 am, Preggos, 10 hr drive, 2 kids in the car... she is my hero. Our daughters are besties, so Charlotte is equally excited.
It's going to be a wonderful visit.

Additionally, I have to say thank you to those who took the time to email me, or comment with regards to the c&d. It's amazing... blogging is just amazing. Thank you for all your kind words, really!

Trademark: A cease and desist! Long...

Many people who read this blog, read it not only because they love parties... but because they themselves have recently started a biz, or have the hopes to open one themselves.
Which is why I am choosing to share!

Creative people find inspiration everywhere... motivation may come from within, but seeing others succeed helps light that fire! We all start somewhere! We all dream.

I would like at this point to give a bit of advice... possibly something you did not know, something we surely didn't! Thoughts to consider when starting your own biz/dream!

{Maybe I should have gone to law school, or married an attorney!}

Party Box Design received a Cease and Desist.

Something we never thought, or even ever considered happening.

Afterall, we are a tiny mom and pop shop... offering original designs... designs that can only be found here!

A place where your purchase matters.

No one else has our name, Party Box Design!

Sooooo WHY?!? W.H.Y... why?!?

Well, apparently if you have a company with a name even relatively close to someone else, they can for one send you a cease and desist and two, threaten a law suit. Especially if they are BIGGER then you! YUP... threatening phone calls, voicemails filled with demands... and of course that pretty c&d sent by certified mail!

All things that make a small biz owners tummy hurt!

It may not matter if you are a website, if you are a brick and mortar, or if you even sell different items! It may not matter if your site and logo look nothing like theirs. It may not matter if you are states apart.

Sooo... if you are thinking of starting a biz, it's not all sugar... there is also spice! You must be prepared, dot your i's and cross your t's. Not everyone is happy when you succeed. There are many bumps along the way. There is a major learning curve. There are so so so many things to consider, things we didn't know.

BUT... now YOU do!

This post is heart wrenching for me. This post breaks my heart.

This post makes me angry, frustrated and sad. A whirlwind of emotions.

We "attempted" to crab, gave it a good go... but the crabbies were not biting! We even tried two locations. However, we were blessed with hours of watching dolphins swim... yes HOURS! Totally amazing and I had to pinch myself like 3 times.

My MIL was also in town for a few days, which was so fantastic! We missed her the minute she left. Charlotte just loves her so much, they have a very special bond.

Oooo ate some crazy good pizza too... could have sworn we were in Jersey! Love Charlotte's oooo face!

Also worked on oooodles of orders for Party Box Design, which as always- is a total blessing!

Like our new Surfs Up Baby printable party collection. Cute right!

I am obsessed with this pattern, it has been added to my fave list... alongside damask and polka dots! It's so versatile, the new stripe really. You can pair chevron with anything and it works.

We have been offering ooodles of new invites with this stylish pattern, like this great water slide party invite and for all the little artists out there, an art party invitation!

a taste of home {crabbies}... the beach, and...

I miss "home"... not so much Maryland, but rather just "home", our home- that feeling, our space, Charlotte's beautiful nursery that we brought her home to. I miss my flowers and our pond, I miss our little cottage.

We love the beach and South Carolina... but it doesn't feel like home yet. So until then, we are adjusting and taking each day as it comes. Soooo, we decided to bring a taste of home to SC!

There is only ONE WAY to cook crabs... and with that,

we brought "home" to us, and oh was it delish!

A fun family night filled with cold beer, steamed crabs, corn and some dancing!

We sat at our little kitchen table and it felt like home!

The next morning... coffee, the beach and sandcastles of course!

Blueberries, Blueberries, Blueberries and...

This Summer we have picked... strawberries, blackberries, blueberries and tomatoes! Honestly, it's amazing and actually really great for children. Little Miss Charlotte is able to see that fruit doesn't grow in a grocery store. Plus, fresh fruit is just wonderful!

We picked 6 pounds of blueberries... yes 6! Which to me, isn't really enough as you can do sooooo many things with blueberries!

Like make some yummy ice pops! A serious must... super simple and delicious recipe!

Now I just need to find some awesome ice pop molds! However, these little babies were .99 cents at the local grocer!

I am just dying to make this recipe... yummmmy!

Oooo and I so have baby fever! I usually hover around .000001 % considering I am the WORST preggie lady ever. Right now I am at like 1%, huge jump- right! We have been doing a lot of baby shower invites, so that must be it...oh and all the cute babies on the beach.
BEACH BABIES are so gosh darn cute!

My beach baby is no longer... 3 yrs old and a whole lotta sass! We in fact should change her name to Sassy instead of Charlotte!

The doggies are LOVING the beach too... especially Boulder! We call him our little salty dog, with one eye it's very fitting! He loves to jump the waves and swim... he is quite the entertainer! Monty Bons our little frenchie does not swim, but loves to run and play in the puddles!

The Beach and More!

Well... we are slowly unpacking and I say slowly because one, Party Box Design has been ubbber busy with orders(YAY) and two, the beach(YAY)!

This area is just amazing!

Last night we were invited to a beach picnic... yes, a Tuesday night on the beach... cocktails, sand castles, yummy food and fun! I was pinching myself the entire time! We have certainly made lemonade out of lemons!

Yesterday we picked fresh strawberries and blackberries!
Ummm love that!

Next week we will be picking blueberries!

I wish I had a pic to share as Charlotte was COVERED in red and purple... they should have weighed her with the strawberries! lol

We spent the rest of the day walking and playing at the beach and of course UNPACKING!

Low tide is amazing, so many neat critters laying on the sand. We found sand dollars, crabbies, conchs, clams... simply amazing!

I still can't believe we are living at the beach, it just doesn't feel real!

Boxes surround me, not sure where anything is... but, we survived the 10 hr drive from MD to SC!

Charlotte was amazing, as were the doggies!

Everyone loves the beach, dogs included! This morning we picked fresh strawberries and blackberries... about to head back to the beach this afternoon!

Can't wait to explore what our new state has to offer.

I can't believe it...

I know it's happening, but it just doesn't feel real.

For us type a's change is hard.

I am not looking forward to 10 hrs in the car, 2 doggies and a 3 yr old... yeah I need a nanny! LOL

However, the minute we arrive... heading straight for the BEACH!
Can't wait to see Charli and the doggies running in the sand!

Maryland Crab Cake Recipe

We love our crabbies here in MD and after having a crab feast you may just have some left over crabbies!

Well we did, soooo we picked these yummy yummy crabs...

and made crab cakes!

Now, there are lots of crab cake recipes... but this is how we make them here at PBD!

1 pound backfin blue crab meat or other lump crab meat

8 saltine crackers

1 egg beaten

3 tbsp mayonnaise

1 tsp dijon mustard

lil squeeze of fresh lemon juice

1 tsp of hot sauce (we like em hot)

1 tsp Worcestershire

1 tsp Old Bay seasoning

salt to taste (you prob don't even need it)

Crush the saltine crackers and mix with the other ingredients. Gently fold in the crab, mixing just enough to combine ingredients. You don't want to break up that yummy crabby. Shape into 5 crab cakes, and refrigerate for 1-2 hrs!

Heat about 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a non-stick frying pan. Saute until golden brown on each side. This will only take about 3-5 minutes per side.

Overall, this was our favorite party yet. So many amazing vendors and a fantastic photographer. This party really felt like "us", more then just a theme but rather a great party that celebrated all the things we love.

A huge thanks to Destinee from Cellar Door Photography for all the amazing photos! She was pure joy to work with and I just adore her! She also has a facebook page, so be sure to check her out! If you are local to MD and need a photographer, she is your lady! Thanks Destinee, you were just so wonderful!

We are MOVING...

Well... we sold our home, our cute little cottage home. Which we are renting back until the end of the month, which feels kinda strange. I mean it still feels like "our" home, but it's not.

LOT'S of packing! INSANE amounts...

Oooo Baltimore, I have called you home for 12 yrs. 12 amazing years, filled with so many memories. However, it's time to say good bye.
We might be back though, crazier things have happened!

Anyhoooooo we are moving tooooooooooooooo THE BEACH! YES... the beach! I can't quite believe it myself! Not like getting in your car "the beach", but actually walking through our yard and to THE BEACH!

We are really excited... sooo excited that I had to add this new design to the line up!

Anyhoooo... big move for us!

Sooooo WHO lives in Charleston, SC?!? We need to make some new friends!!!! Plus we can have you over for some beach BBQ'S!

Preppy Pink Crab Party {Vendors} and more sneaky peeky pics...

Well... our Preppy Pink Crab Party was a total success, thanks to so many people!

I have gotten some sneaky peeks from the photographer (like that great pic above) and CAN'T WAIT to see more! HOWEVER, before we share the party I wanted to give some vendor shout outs! Whenever I see party features I only ever see the vendors name and link at the bottom of the party post... which is great, but I always want to know more!

SOOOOO here is a list of some amazing vendors, ladies also following their dreams! Places where you will shop and your purchase matters!

1. Pom Flair: The cutest poms ever... great color selection, super full poms in various sizes and Carmen, the shop owner is super lovely. Pom Flair also supplied the poms for our Halloween Party... super fabulous, can't say enough nice things! Thanks Carmen... YOUR POMS ROCK, well beyond rock- they are fabulous!

2. Bottle Your Brand: I love BYB... I have used their water bottle labels and even beer labels at every single one of my parties, not just one party... but every single party! Their quality, simply put- fabulous! These labels can sit in water and still look amazing! When all that ice melts, rest assured- your labels still look great! The best part, I can design a label and have them print it... can't beat that!

3. Lynlee's Petite Cakes: WOW, is all I can really say! Fondant Cupcake Toppers to just swoon over. Lynlee is one talented lady and as sweet as her little toppers! She created the most amazing lil crabby toppers for Charlotte's party, well more then crabbies... beyond cute little hand made creations. Which I must add arrived in PERFECT condition. Lynlee's Petite Cakes are a must at every party, just works of art! Thanks sweet lady!

4. CupKate's Event Design: Every now and then you see a genious idea and think, wow... that is awesome! Well, that is how I feel about cupcake push pops... the PERFECT Party Favor. I mean really, so beyond cute and your kids will just love them. Gosh, even more then kids- these could be great wedding favors too! Anyhoooo the lovely Kate sent us some fab push pops and they were AWESOME! I baked some mini cupcakes and added a cute sticker and wow, beyond cute! Thanks Lady!

5. Cookies are my Canvas: Chills... that is what I got when I opened the perfectly wrapped box of cookies from Christina. I am not even sure if these can be called cookies, they are really just to divine to eat... but then when you eat one, oooh sooo good that you want another. These cookies are AMAZING, really- just beyond! If you are looking for iced cookies, this is the place to shop... but you better order early because talent like this, books up fast! Thanks Christina, gosh one talented lady!

6. Polka Dot Market: OK... so I am not sure if there is a place where you can get cuter polka dot items! Too many cute items to mention, however we were blessed to have some fab polka dotty items at the crabby party! Well that and some awesome stripped straws... so not only polka dots but just fab party ware! Ohhh and the cutest balloons ever! Thanks Sally!

7. Coffe, Crafts & Cupcakes: Ummm one of the best blogs ever, a seriously talented lady, my web designer, friend, tutu maker and overall craft-a-holic! This sweet lady surprised us with the MOST AMAZING Crabby Tutu Outfit EVA! OH yes, so cute I almost cried happy tears! Thanks Amy, I feel so blessed to have met you!

8. Lulu & Co: Ohhhhh and of course, we can not forget the PARTY HAT! Now this is not just ANY hat... it's the cutest party hat ever, and hand made by the sweetest lady! Jessica makes the most gorgeous birthday hats to match any event, with insane fabric! You must pop on over and check out her out of control cute party hats!

9. God Mother, Mom, Husband, Neighbor, Cousin, Sister, Friends: Hosting a party like this just doesn't happen over night... or even 30 "over nights", this type of party takes a village! That and some cocktails... lol! Really, the words thank you are never enough- however, I could not pull of a party like this alone. I can still remember my high school graduation... 1999, wow that makes me feel old. My college graduation was nice, but for some reason 1999 really stands out!

Recently a dear friend asked me to create an art certificate for her son's school AND bam... I was inspired! How could I design a super fun art certificate without matching items, ummmm hello!

PLUS Charlotte and ooodles of other children also love arts and crafts... painting, cutting, coloring galore! I have often thought of this party theme, but never created an invite for it- until NOW!

I love western themed events... I guess because they are rustic and fun, with lots great food for sure! Plus mason jars totally fit this theme and I am obsessed with mason jars!

My BFF's daughter is turning 3 and she wants a Cowgirl Party... how could I resist designing an invite?!? Our daughters are 3 weeks apart and so gosh darn cute! I honestly can't believe they are turning 3.
